Our mission is to bring together the People Living with HIV/AIDS family of Dimapur and Nagaland in general, in solidarity as one body, and to improve the quality of life of all PLHIV’s.

• To facilitate and improve access to treatment for People Living with HIV/AIDS.

• To provide clear information to People Living with HIV/AIDS.

• To promote involvement of People Living with HIV/AIDS.

• To promote social acceptance of People Living with HIV/AIDS and to put an end to stigma and discrimination.

• To provide opportunities of networking for People Living with HIV/AIDS.

• To promote and protect the human rights of People Living with HIV/AIDS.

• To trace out the infected and identified and get registered at the District Level Network.

• To access ART impact on clients.

• To trace out defaulters

• Counseling : The Network encourages the clients through counseling focusing the newly identified PLHIV along with follow up. Counselling plays a major role in educating the people. The Network provides Post counseling, Pre counseling and family counseling.

• Enrollment : From May 2006 till March 2010 we have enrolled 1007 members, below are the list of members enrolled breaking up of On ART and Non ART:

• Networking : One of the foremost priorities is to have a strong proper channel with the concerned NGOs, stake holders, Municipal Committee is also one of the key note to get material assistance for the member of DNP+

• Referrals  :  The Network provides referrals to clients with the help of good and proper channel of networking with the NGOs. The network makes sure that follow up is done after referral is done. From the implementation of ACT till date the network has referred to 267 members to other service providers for treatment, educational support, nutrition and other services.

• Education  :  The network emphasis on educating people through advocacy, counseling, Support Group Meeting (SGM) and distribution of IEC materials.

• Trainings  :  In 2009 first Peer Treatment Education (PTE) was conducted on June 2009 where 22 members were trained by the master trainers, from the implementation of ACT. All together 5 PTE was conducted where all together 102 members were trained. Through this PTE 20 members were identified and are employed in different organization and are working together for the upliftment of the PLHIV.

• Formation of Women Forum  :   The network under the umbrella of NNP+ has formed Women Forum with 400 Women Living with HIV (WLHIV) enrolled at the network. Through this forum 104 WLHIV are getting nutritional support supported by the Directorate of Women Development, Kohima.

• Advocacy  :  The network also conducts Advocacy program in different areas related with different issues with the Stake holders, Police Camps, Schools, Colleges, Migrant Workers and with the Churches.

• Support Group meeting  :  The networks conduct three SGM’s in a month, all together 36 SGM’s was conducted from April 2009- March 2010. During these meetings the trained staff from Engender Health Society (EHS) in turn facilitated the meeting on various topics regarding positive living, Nutrition, ART resistance, ART Side effects, Home Based-Care, PPTCT etc.
